An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Leicestershire County Council. This is a temporary Team Manager role for the Screening Team. In this role you will earn £40 - £45 an hour umbrella, whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment. Working within the Screening Team as a Manager includes but is not limited to: * Overall management and supervision of Social Workers and Deputy Team Managers * Case allocation * Regularly assessing caseloads and providing consultation on complex cases * Managing Section 17, Section 47 and Section 20 budgets * Managing staffing budget * Investigating complaints and disciplinary matters in accordance with corporate and divisional procedures * Chairing Strategy Meetings, Professional Meetings and LAC Review Conferences * Managing Duty System * Accompanying Social Workers on home visits for monitoring and support purposes * Attending court and giving evidence when required * Auditing files * Ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented * Identifying and implementing staff training and development * Ensuring that activities within the Council's safeguarding services are carried out to agreed service standards within available budgets, and in line with legislative, regulatory and national minimum standard requirements * Managing the recruitment and selection process for all members of staff For this position you will need hold a recognised social work qualification and be SWE registered.
