Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

To start: ASAPContract Type: Long-term temporary assignment

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in a secondary school. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students with varying needs, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and can achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with additional needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom activities and help create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs, if required.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all students

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Experience working in a secondary school
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or special needs support is desirable.
