Learning Support Assistant | Leicester LE2 | £95 - £105 | Temp to Permanent | ASAP Start

We are looking for a committed and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join a specialised school in Leicester, providing essential support to students with complex needs, including Autism, physical disabilities, and multiple learning difficulties. This role plays a vital part in creating an inclusive environment where students can succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver tailored support to promote students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Assist with daily activities, ensuring a secure and supportive environment for all learners.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Manage challenging behaviours using positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Support students' independence and self-confidence through structured skill-building activities.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience supporting individuals with special educational needs, ideally in an educational setting.
  • A strong passion for helping young people reach their full potential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families effectively.
  • A proactive and adaptable attitude to meet diverse student needs.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training is highly advantageous.
Eligibility Requirements
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An enhanced child DBS certificate registered on the online update service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Two professional references covering the past two years.
