Primary SEN Teacher (Leicester)

Job Title: Primary SEN Teacher

Location: Leicester

Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday) - September to Christmas
Part-Time (4 days a week post-Christmas)

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary SEN Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive school in Leicester. This role is ideal for an experienced educator with a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work full-time from September to Christmas, transitioning to a part-time schedule of 4 days a week after the Christmas break.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN.
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and other staff.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the academic and social development of all students.
Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Monitor and report on the progress of pupils, adapting strategies as necessary to support their learning and well-being.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.

Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Proven experience working in a UK school setting.
Strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate pupils with diverse needs and abilities.
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
