Job Duties:

Develop and implement strategies to support students with special educational needs
Coordinate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create individual education plans
Monitor and assess the progress of students with SEN, providing necessary interventions
Ensure compliance with SEN regulations and policies
Provide training and support to staff on SEN issues

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to work towards it

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

At least 3 years of experience working with students with special educational needs

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of SEN Code of Practise
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Special Education or related field
Previous experience in a SEN leadership role

Working Conditions:
