Procurement Governance Manager |Leicester | £44,000 - £62,000Macildowie are delighted to be partnering with a Leicester based Public Sector organisation who a looking to appoint to a Procurement Governance Manager. The salary range on offer is broad as they are quite open to a differing levels of experience, whether stepping up into a Manager level role or an experienced individual at this level (and therefore looking at the top end of the salary).Procurement Governance Manager RemitThis is a newly created post and has been invested in by the organisation to ensure the development of robust policy, risk, strategy and procedures within procurement and insurance. This follows on from the Procurement Act changes this year in regards to enhanced reporting and governance and you will be partnering closely with the Director of Procurement as well as senior stakeholders across the organisation.Prior experience within a Procurement role with a bias on policy, process mapping, governance, risk and strategy would set you up well for this opportunity. Whilst this is a governance focussed opportunity this is for an individual with Procurement background and bias to governance instead of a governance professional with some exposure to procurement.This will be reporting into the newly appointed Director of Procurement (who reports into their CFO), working alongside 3 total dedicated Category Managers within IT and Professional Services as well as having the support of Officer and transactional level team members.
