The Role
Key purpose of the role is to supervise the Waste Transfer Station (WTS) and Waste Haulage Operations. You will manage a team of drivers and WTS employees, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of services while meeting all statutory duties and responsibilities.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Supervising a team of drivers and Waste Management Operatives to ensure smooth operations.
- Managing recruitment, attendance, training, and disciplinary processes for the team.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Acting as CoTC holder for the WTS and providing cover when required.
- Monitoring legal compliance for vehicles and drivers (tachographs, daily checks, etc.).
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
- HGV Licence (or willing to work towards).
- Driver CPC (or willing to work towards).
- Experience managing teams in waste management or similar industries.
- Knowledge of waste operations and related legislative compliance.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering 17 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. 14 per hour PAYE).
