A long established, well appointed IFA practice with a local presence in Essex are keen to take on an experienced IFA/Adviser to service their existing clients.

This job description is designed to outline a range of main duties that may be encountered.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of suitability letters covering investments, pensions, inheritance tax and protection - delivering accurate, well-drafted and compliant advice
  • Undertaking research to reach conclusions and recommendations for clients
  • Assisting and supporting the head of department as and when required
  • Working within and contributing to the paraplanning team and their processes, helping to further develop these
  • Embed change, review, and feedback
  • Preparing Cash flow planning forecasts
  • Involvement in the company’s research processes as required
  • Providing technical resource and research to the adviser and management team
  • Working with the sales support and adviser to achieve good client outcomes
  • Working with compliance to continually improve procedures and ensure advice and client files meet FCA standards
  • Keep up to date with legislative and industry changes that will affect the business and its clients

Candidate:

  • Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Must have worked as a "competent" financial adviser and show on the FCA Directory
  • Good knowledge of investment products, taxation and pensions
  • Strong analytical, research and report writing skills
  • Initiative and problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise and plan own workload
  • Ready made client bank to service and advise to
  • Have some clients to bring over
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
