An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed Finance Officer to join a central team within a prestigious educational institution on an initial temporary basis. This role offers the chance to work closely with the Chief Finance Officer to ensure accurate and timely financial systems and reports.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Officer, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of the finance department. You will work closely with the Chief Finance Officer, providing crucial support in managing financial systems and preparing information for decision making. Your excellent organisational skills will be put to good use as you develop financial monitoring systems and ensure prompt processing of information. Your interpersonal skills will shine as you build strong relationships across all internal functions.

  • Maintain high standards of administration and support for academies
  • Support the Chief Finance Officer in ensuring accurate financial systems and reports
  • Prepare financial information for decision making
  • Develop financial monitoring systems and reports
  • Ensure prompt and accurate processing of information
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Officer position is someone who brings a wealth of experience in using finance software, ideally PSF and IMP. You should be working towards or already hold an accounting qualification. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office products will be essential in this role, along with your ability to absorb and understand a wide range of information. A proven track record of building strong personal relationships at senior level is key, as well as having up-to-date knowledge of financial standards and legislation.
