Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee and manage the design process for M&E projects, ensuring designs meet client specifications, regulatory requirements, and budgetary constraints. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver innovative and cost-effective design solutions.

Due to sustained growth and a robust project pipeline, they are seeking an experiencedM&E Design Managerto join their team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in ensuring design excellence across a wide range of projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the design process for M&E projects from concept through to completion.

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and project teams to understand project requirements and deliver tailored design solutions.

  • Oversee and review technical drawings, specifications, and design calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Provide technical guidance to design teams and support the development of innovative, energy-efficient solutions.

  • Coordinate design activities with the installation and project management teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Ensure budgets, schedules, and quality standards are maintained throughout the design phase.


Skills & Experience Required

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in an M&E Design Manager role, or a senior design role within the building services industry.

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure.

  • Proficiency with industry-standard design software, such as AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Building Services is highly desirable.
