Tradewind is seeking a full-time PMLD Teaching Assistant for a successful Primary School in Leigh, starting ASAP until July 2025, with potential for a permanent position.
The role involves providing 1-1 support for a Year 1 student, requiring previous experience in a PMLD environment or with learners having complex needs, including ASD and challenging behaviors.
Some personal care duties, such as nappy changing, will be necessary, but training will be provided for successful candidates.
The position offers a competitive salary and is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and professional reference checks.
Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK, and the school is easily accessible by car or public transport.

PMLD Teaching Assistant

Tradewind are working with a highly successful Primary School in Leigh, and they are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis starting ASAP- July 2025,with the potential to go perm, working 8.30-3.30 5 days a week. You will be providing 1-1 support with a child in year 1.

This Leigh school are looking for someone who has previous experience in a PMLD environment or have worked extensively with learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), some with associated complex needs, ASD (Autism) and challenging behaviours, some personal care will be required including nappy changing, training will be provided to any successful candidate.

The school is located on the outskirts of Leigh and is easily accessible by car or public transport.
