This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Accounts Assistant to join our successful & established company based in Leighton Buzzard. This is an office-based role. Company offers great opportunity for growth and development and benefits from being close to excellent transport links, with numerous amenities close by.

The successful candidate will preferably have a basic knowledge of accounts.

The working hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm.

Main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Bank statements and exports.
  • Daily postings of receipts and payments for both our Client and Office accounts.
  • Posting of bills.
  • Processing incoming cheques and daily banking.
  • Processing of transfers between internal accounts.
  • Processing BACS, CHAPS, and cheque requests.
  • Deposit account receipts and withdrawals.
  • Processing of weekly employee expenses.
  • Petty cash.
  • Input and payment of supplier invoices.
  • Supporting the accounts department and Fee Earners with any additional duties, as and when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good IT skills (working knowledge of Excel).
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy office.
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
