Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Head of Delivery to join our IT Delivery Team in Milton Keynes.As a Service Delivery Manager, you are responsible for making sure that the Technology services are being delivered to the business agreed expectations and to work closely with your business unit to continually improve the Technology services they consume.Key responsibilities:
  • Weekly Operational reviews with Operational level Business Managers
  • Monthly Service reviews with Business Directors (As well as IT Senior Leadership Team)
  • Manage the transition of new services relevant to your business unit(s) including ensuring all entry into service criteria has been met.
  • Change Approval Board meetings associated to your business unit(s)
  • Problem meetings associated to your business unit(s)
  • IT Supplier meetings associated to your business unit(s)
  • To help the Major Incident Manager with Major Incident’s associated to your business unit(s) being a contact between IT and the business as well as attending bridge calls and Major Incident Reviews.
  • Attend SD Daily Operations Management Meeting, if there is a Major Incident associated to your business unit(s) OR if there were an update you would like to provide the IT Service Desk team.
  • Attend monthly Service Delivery Meeting with internal team.
  • Manage all escalations and complaints from your business unit(s) in the first instance.
  • Any other ADHOC meetings / reports that you feel are relevant or are asked of you.
  • Attend Continual Service improvement meetings and be responsible for driving the improvements relating to your specific business unit.
  • Work closely with the business aligned teams to support application releases and changes.
Experience & skills required:
  • ITIL understanding (preferably with an ITIL Foundation certificate but not mandatory)
  • Experience of managing a large Service Ops capability, delivering to a demanding customer base
  • Ability to engage, credibly, with ‘C’ level and senior business stakeholders.
  • Experience of managing 3^rd party providers or coming from an MSP environment desirable.
  • Understanding and have experience within Service Transition and importance of safe delivery of new services.
