PAYROLL, BENEFITS & REPORTING ASSOCIATE

MONDAY - FRIDAY - 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK, 9AM-5PM - Shift patterns may vary according to the needs of the business which may be of an urgent Payroll nature.

BASED: POLAR SPEED DISTRIBUTION LIMITED, SITE 1, 8 CHARTMOOR ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD, BEDFORDSHIRE, LU7 4WG

SALARY: £30,000.00 PER ANNUM

Polar Speed has a reputation for quality, compliance, operational and customer facing technology and monitoring solutions in the growing temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical logistics market in the UK. The company specialises in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers and medical care surgeries as well as to end patients which it serves through its homecare business. Its customers include some of the best known pharmaceutical brands in the world.

We are now looking for a Payroll, Benefits, and Reporting Associate to join our busy HR team at the Leighton Buzzard SITE 2 office.

Working as part of the HR team, you will support the day-to-day activities of the the company's outsourced Payroll and Benefits services. The role will also be responsible for HR and Recruitment data and reporting.

This is a stand alone role reporting to the Director of People Services & Administration. You will work with internal stakeholders and external providers, leading the operational activities, proposing, and implementing new policies and streamlining processes.

The position is on a Monday to Friday basis, 9am-5pm, however flexibility on start/finish times is required, especially around Payroll cut off dates and pay days.

We offer a wide range of benefits including 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) building to 33 days (including bank holidays) in the sixth full holiday year (PRO RATA) and a company pension scheme with 4.5% company contribution, plus a UPS Perks at Work scheme.

The successful applicant will have excellent Excel and IT skills.

For successful applicants, Polar Speed will process a basic disclosure criminal record checks.

Key responsibilities:

Preparing the monthly payroll submission for our outsourced Payroll Advisors and third party vendors.

1st line of enquiry contact for the resolution of employee payroll issues and queries.

Manage employee access to Payroll services including on line payslips access.

Administer all benefits, such as Pensions, PMI, Death in service, rewards tools.

Manage the company pension scheme, including monthly updates and pension queries.

Produce monthly and ad hoc HR reporting, providing insights into data and recommendations for improvement.

Produce and further develop the HR/Recruitment KPI reports.

Key Skills/Experience/Requirements:

Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Strong experience with in house payroll, benefits, pensions, and compensation.

Experience in developing new payroll and benefits processes.

ADP experience would be an advantage but not essential.

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

Team player mentality, able to build effective working relationships, whilst appreciating the need for maintaining confidentiality.
