My client is a multi-disciplined well known main contractor with a superb reputation within Civil Engineering and Rail. They are well established and have been trading for over 15 years. Their national presence has given them the opportunity to open and maintain 5 national offices, covering locations in Scotland and England (this role will be based in Leighton Buzzard) and they are turning over 80M.
This position has come about due to the ongoing growth of the company and they have recently won a new Framework within their rail division. The projects that they get involved range from rail maintenance, geotechnical, earthworks, drainage, track cleaning and vegetation within a rail environment.
About the opportunity
This opportunity has come about due to company expansion and a healthy pipeline of work. My client is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to work on a rail based framework in East Anglia. The projects could vary in types of work from Civil Engineering, infrastructure and maintenance. The duties you will be carrying out will involve representing the company and dealing with the client in all SHEQ matters when required. You will be conducting investigations and reporting your findings as well as monitoring and ensuring all company compliances are in line with the internal management systems. A new office is being set up in Leighton Buzzard but the works will all be in the Anglian region of the UK and you will be expected to travel to various sites on a regular basis.

Requirements
I am looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience working in Construction or Civil Engineering as a health & Safety Advisor or Manager (rail would be preferred but not essential). It is, however, essential you have a NEBOSH in Construction and ideally an IOSH also.
