Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer ensures product quality by addressing customer issues, supporting production improvements, and maintaining compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards. They monitor production, conduct testing, manage documentation (SOPs, FMEA), and oversee calibration and quarantine processes. The role also involves generating reports, conducting internal audits, and leading external audits with certification bodies and customers.

Job Duties:

  • Address customer-related issues using structured problem-solving techniques to investigate and resolve concerns.
  • Provide production support by identifying improvement opportunities and contributing to ongoing quality enhancements.
  • Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and participate in the development of control plans, FMEA, and PFMEA.
  • Monitor daily production output to ensure it aligns with product specifications, conducting necessary measurements and functional tests.
  • Maintain documentation to ensure compliance with ISO9001, AS9100, and other relevant standards.
  • Track, monitor, and create internal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee and manage both internal and external calibration processes.
  • Handle quarantine products promptly and in accordance with procedures.
  • Generate data for monthly quality reports.
  • Produce necessary quality documentation, including responses to customer complaints.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by management.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to management system standards.
  • Lead all external audits, including those by certification bodies and customers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in quality engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards (ISO9001 and/or AS9100) and problem-solving methodologies (FMEA, PFMEA).
  • Experience with internal and external auditing processes.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining SOPs, control plans, and other quality documentation.
  • Familiarity with production monitoring, testing, and calibration procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am to 4:30pm
