We are seeking a Finance Assistant. This role involves managing and enhancing financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchase ledger management and proficiency in using Xero.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage and enhance the purchase ledger and approval process, ensuring seamless integration with accounting software.
  • Establish and maintain a purchase order system within the specified portal.
  • Accurately process and record all sales invoices.
  • Ensure proper coding and inventory management, maintaining consistency between the accounting system and the online sales platform.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations for various accounts.
  • Supervise the reconciliation of all clearing accounts, addressing any unresolved issues in partnership with the Customer Service Manager.
  • Perform financial analysis and generate reports.
  • Develop, maintain, and document all financial procedures and processes.
  • Handle credit control for outstanding orders.
  • Provide support for the Financial Controller during their absence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role, particularly in purchase ledger management.
  • Proficiency in using Xero.
  • Strong skills in analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving.
  • Thorough understanding of financial principles, including balance sheet management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Highly motivated, efficient, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
