Tempest Resourcing is currently working in partnership with a well-established, Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in Leighton Buzzard, seeking an Internal Suspension Room Supervisor to join their supportive and dynamic team.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and have experience working with students who require additional guidance and support. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive and structured environment for students who have been referred to the internal suspension room, encouraging them to reflect on their behaviour and successfully reintegrate into mainstream lessons.

The Role:
  • Supervise students in the internal suspension room, ensuring they remain focused and complete assigned work.
  • Provide support to students, helping them reflect on their actions and encouraging positive behaviour.
  • Build strong relationships with both students and staff to promote a constructive and inclusive school environment.
  • Monitor progress and provide detailed feedback to teaching staff and senior leadership.
  • Assist with behaviour management and offer strategies for students to improve classroom conduct.
What You'll Need:
  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting (previous experience in behaviour support or pastoral roles preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
