Insight Employment are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to work for a local client of ours in Leighton Buzzard.

The Role: -

This role is fast paced with multiple small consumable orders to be sent out within 24-48 hours to a large customer base across the UK but primarily within London and the Home Counties.

We are looking for an experienced & committed individual to join their busy operations team. The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure and have a positive can-do attitude. You will possess the ability to manage several tasks at once while remaining calm and collected. You will support the warehouse in all aspects including picking & packing, stock taking, goods in/out and housekeeping.

You will be comfortable working on your feet and lifting up-to 25kgs, with a focus on meeting individual and team KPI’s. You will have attention to detail and be proactive in your approach, looking out for ways to improve the warehouse & logistics function.

In this varied role you will play a vital part of their operation team as follows: -

Key Duties and Responsibilities: -

  • Picking & Packing, preparing deliveries for dispatch.
  • Checking deliveries in/out, including unloading container deliveries.
  • Forklifting duties.
  • Stock taking.
  • General housekeeping.
  • Data entry of important information on the system.
  • Occasional driving of company vehicles.

Requirements & Qualifications: -

  • 2 years warehouse experience, including Picking & Packing, goods in/out.
  • Must be computer literate with good data entry and attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written English.
  • Excellent numeracy skills both mental and written.
  • Forklift licence preferred although training provided for the right candidate.
  • Physically fit, must be able to lift, up to 25kgs multiple times throughout the day.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team using own initiative.
  • Preferably hold a clean driving licence for 2 years or more, and over 25 for insurance purposes experience of driving vans would be beneficial.

  • Experience of FMCG would be an advantage.

Hours

Mon - Fri 07:00am-16:30pm

Salary: -

25k-27k per annum per depending on experience.
