Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with an international player in the nuclear energy market recognised for its innovative solutions and technology for designing, building, maintaining, and advancing the global nuclear sector to recruit a Project Manager for its Sizewell B project.

The Project Manager position comes with a salary up to 60,000, 8% employer pension contributions, professional membership body support, and a wealth of other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager you will:

  • Execute project according to best practices, ensuring they meet customer requirements and minimise risks.
  • Develop and take responsibility for the project management processes.
  • Directly manage and/or participate in specific projects and bids in all aspects related to project management, project control, contract management, site management, site work delivery planning, HSE/CDM advisory
  • Develop, lead and oversee site teams in accordance with projects needs
  • Manage relationships with the client and all stakeholders including third parties/vendors
  • Manages project delivery through a team of project professionals, in line with time and budgetary restrictions
  • Manage and develop a team of project managers

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • HND in Engineering or equivalent
  • Prince 2 or APM (or equivalent) Qualified
  • Member of appropriate professional body (APM, PMI, CIOB, etc.)
  • CSCS managers and Professionals Test
  • SMSTS (desirable)

Personal skills

The Mechanical Construction Manager role would suit someone who is:

  • Managing site activities in excess of 1M.
  • A strong HSE understanding with CDM 2015 regulations
