Company, Project & benefits of a Senior Quantity Surveyor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client Galldris at Sizewell. To be considered, you will come from a Civil Engineering background.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible in managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures and minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while achieving the required standards and quality. The ideal candidate will have to hold a full UK driving licence.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all commercial aspects of the Sizewell C project
  • Leading the commercial team and ensuring efficient cost control
  • Overseeing subcontractor agreements and payments
  • Conducting cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Monitoring project financial performance and reporting
  • Managing variations and change orders effectively
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions
  • Collaborating with project stakeholders to achieve financial objectives

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in a Tier 1 Civils company
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering projects and contract management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of successful cost control and project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Proficiency in industry-standard surveying software and tools
