Deputy Manager - Residential Children's Home (Leominster)

We are seeking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team in Leominster (near Hereford). We offer a supportive environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of young people.What you'll do:

  • Support the Registered Manager: Ensure high-quality care and safeguarding for children in a dual-registration home.
  • Manage operations: Assist with the daily management of two homes, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and security.
  • Contribute to care planning: Attend meetings, maintain records, and complete tasks related to individual care plans.
  • Maintain records and confidentiality: Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping, upholding confidentiality in all duties.
  • Work with the team: Contribute to rota planning, staff recruitment, and training.
  • Respond to challenges: Provide guidance and support during challenging situations.

What you'll need:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
  • Qualification such as CQSW/DipSW/NVQ 4 in Care or Management, Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People), or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
  • At least 1 year of management experience and 2 years in a children's residential setting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding children.
  • Full UK driving licence.
