CONTINENTALS - DAYS & NIGHTS

£32,649 RISING TO £36,146

We are looking for a motivated operators to join a market leading manfacturing company within their respective field. Reporting directly to the engineering manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description* Working safe in accordance with site procedures and safe systems of work* Reporting all hazards and act on them accordingly* Housekeeping on all extrusion lines, recycling units and packing automation* Monitor of product quality and ensure all quality checks and testing is carried out in line with specifications* Monitor and manage line output rates, utilisation, scrap levels against plan/targets on each line* Operate extrusion machinery and monitor and manage recycling equipment on each unit* Ensure accurate data is recorded and inputted correctly* Ensure a good handover of information to the incoming operator

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in the operation of polythene extrusion equipment
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment (min 2 years experience) training will be given
  • Good team working and communication
  • Positive and pro-active attitude
  • Be able to work unsupervised and using own initiative
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities to ensure deadlines are met
