NexGen Consultancy LTD are currently recruiting for a prestigous engineering company located in SG6. Our client is a manufacturer of complex mechanical equipment within the Aerospace/Aviation sector.

Due to growth they are looking for a CNC Turner with a strong background setting and operating Haas machines.

Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday 7am - 5:15pm

Position Type: Full-time

Overview: Our client are currently seeking a skilled a CNC Turner to join their team. The successful candidate will be capable of setting and operating CNC turning machines as well as manual lathe machinery. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your machining expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting and Operating of our Hass CNC Lathes with live tooling, the ability to program our lathe using Fusion 360 would also be desirable
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents with precision and attention to detail.
  • Experience with all types of shop floor measuring equipment
  • Knowledge of AS9100 requirements would be desirable
  • Previous aerospace experience is desirable
  • Ensuring the performance of part production to planned set, run and quality requirements, reporting any issues as and when they arise
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with minimum supervision.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with proficiency in the turning processes
  • Continuous improvement mind-set, with a focus on driving process enhancements & efficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-player skills
