Senior Audit Manager
Salary - salary range £65,000 - £80,000 per annum dependant on experience
Hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with flexi hours & hybrid working
This is a key role supporting the Head of Audit with the day to day running of our clients ambitious & growing team. You will be responsible for the delivery of audit and assurance services to a range of clients and will therefore need to be highly technically proficient, a trusted expert in this field and be competent to go out and win work and generate new business leads.
Key responsibilities:
- supporting the Head of Audit to run the department, to include setting budgets/targets, monitor financial & non-financial KPI’s & assisting with development of business plans and strategies for growth
- delivering high quality audits to clients in the SME sector with support from the wider audit team to deliver the onsite work
- build relationships with the clients so that you are the "go-to" person and manage their expectations, their audit, and our team to deliver robust, high quality audits.
- effectively manage and develop the team and be a motivational and inspirational role model
- completing file reviews on a range of audit clients, utilising your existing technical knowledge and experience whilst developing your skills still further and ensuring quality standards are met in the department
- identifying and delivering added value services to the clients to help them prosper
- to win new work and convert leads to support departmental and office growth
Skills and experience:
- previous UK SME audit experience at senior manager level is essential
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- excellent technical knowledge, eg UK GAAP, FRS102, IFRS and ISA’s
- RI qualified or will have obtained RI status within 12 months
- enjoy working as part of a team and developing effective, long-lasting working relationships at all levels
- tech-savvy, proficient in all Microsoft packages, knowledge of CCH would be great alongside Digita Cotax, Inflo, SAP, Xero, Sage & Quickbooks and social media channels
