HR Manager
  • Location: Letchworth and West London

We are seeking an HR Manager with exceptional generalist knowledge to lead our People Team. This is a rare opportunity to join a top 100 UK large company recognised by “Great Place to Work” for the last 2 years. The successful candidate will report into the NWG Managing Director with a dotted line to our sister sites Head of People and will be responsible for managing the People Team, ensuring the implementation of our People Strategy.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support and manage the People Team, focusing on the People Strategy.
  • Provide support with ER casework ensuring best practice and continued development.
  • Manage the headcount budget and benchmarking data.
  • Assist with the delivery of internal training centred around people responsibilities and expectations.
  • Manage and review all ‘people’ systems to ensure optimal utilisation.
  • Review, monitor, and update policies and processes for best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Act as an internal mentor, supporting succession planning and development.
  • Assist with the development of career paths and development plans.
  • Manage and review all benefits prior to contract renewal, ensuring benchmarking and due diligence.
  • Collate statistics into monthly reports for the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and changes in law.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks and projects to support the delivery of the people strategy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Experience in a generalist HR role and managing a team.
  • Extensive ER experience.
  • A positive can-do attitude.
  • Excellent management and leadership qualities.
  • The drive to improve performance and deliver exceptional results.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Pro-active approach to problem solving.
