Mon – Fri 40hrs per week
Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor for a waste management company based in Letchworth. This is temp-perm position with the opportunity to go full time. Our client needs a well-rounded individual who can think on their feet, and work in a fast passed environment. This is a Monday Friday position with start times varying between 06:00 – 14:00 or 08:00 – 17:00
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all operations are compliant with Health and Safety Standards, Company Policies, Procedures and Waste Management Legislation
- Effective management of resources and services report any problems to Contract Manager
- Ensure your team and operations meet targets
- Conduct daily and weekly audits to ensure all operations meet Health and Safety Standards
- Maintain work reports and vehicle logs
- Update employee/ related paper work to include time sheets, holidays, sickness/absence
- Organisation staff communications, meeting and training
- Carry out any other such reasonable job related tasks as the company may require you to undertake from time to time
Key Knowledge / Qualifications
- Management or Supervisory qualification
- Effective Organisational and planning skills
- Previous experience working in the Waste Industry
- Experience in quality control
- Experience in conducting audits
- IOSH qualification
Key Characteristics
- Previous experience of working with or managing a team.
- Previous experience of Street Sweeping and/or Refuse Collection (as appropriate).
- Minimum basic computer skills.
- LGV Licence (desirable) Digital Tacho Card, Valid CPC Card (as appropriate).
- Must be willing to assist on street cleansing / collections as required
