Accounts Assistant – About the role:
OA are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support a fast-paced SME. Based at their Letchworth headquarters, this role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

Accounts Assistant – Benefits:
• Competitive salary of £25,000 – £30,000 per annum
• Monthly performance-related bonus

Accounts Assistant – Responsibilities:
• Daily processing of all bank transactions
• Managing customer accounts and payment plans
• Handling purchase ledger activities
• Running monthly payroll using Sage Payroll
• Reconciling bank, purchase, and sales ledger accounts monthly
• Compiling weekly performance indicators
• Supporting preparation of monthly management accounts
• Liaising with suppliers, placing orders, and resolving queries
• Managing and processing supplier payments

Accounts Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in an Accounts Department, including Payroll
• Experience within a fast-paced SME environment
• Strong understanding of purchase, sales, and general ledger functions
• Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and ability to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; Sage Payroll experience advantageous
