SHE / HSE Manager

Contract: 7 Months
Location: Fife, Scotland
IR35: Outside

Our Client has a requirement for an SHE / HSE Manager, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Fife, Scotland.

Role Purpose:

To provide Health & Safety Management Services for a tank farm project, ensuring compliance with legislation, overseeing contractor safety, and supporting the successful execution of the project.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Review design packages to ensure safe and effective installation methodologies.
  • Support the development of the installation construction programme.
  • Develop and implement health and safety management systems, including regular safety audits.
  • Manage contractor safety managers and ensure CDM compliance.
  • Coordinate daily SIMOPs, including work planning, inter-trade coordination, and progress monitoring.
  • Produce weekly Site Observation Reports (SORs) and monthly safety reports.
  • Audit and oversee the Principal Contractor, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Provide client-side support, ensuring best practices and compliance are maintained.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Health & Safety Management on UK onshore construction projects, particularly within the F&B or FMCG sectors.
  • Minimum NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Practice.
  • Strong background in writing, reviewing, and enforcing Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
  • Experience conducting Health & Safety Audits.
  • Broad mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Up-to-date CDM experience and understanding.
  • Excellent reporting and analytical skills.
