The Recruitment Group are working with a family run planting nursery, who are looking for 2 Site Operatives to assist them during their peak period.

Induction Date: Wednesday 26th March 2025 - 09:30am - 11:30am (2 HOURS PAID - IF FIRST SHIFT IS ATTENDED AND COMPLETED)

Start Date: 1st April 2025

Duration: Circa 8-12 weeks.

Position Overview:

The General Tray Worker plays a vital role in their nursery by assisting with various tasks related to the care and maintenance of plants, seedlings, and nursery operations. This position involves working in a team-oriented environment to ensure that all plants are healthy and well-cared for, contributing to the overall success of the nursery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plant Care:
    • Watering, feeding, and maintaining the health of plants and seedlings.
    • Monitoring plant growth and identifying any issues like pests or diseases.
  • Tray Management:
    • Organising and maintaining trays of seedlings and plants.
    • Ensuring trays are properly labeled and stored.
  • General Maintenance:
    • Assisting with the upkeep of nursery facilities, including cleaning and organizing work areas.
    • Participating in the setup and breakdown of nursery displays for sales and events.
  • Assisting with Deliveries:
    • Helping with the loading and unloading of plants and supplies.
    • Ensuring that all products are handled with care to prevent damage.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Working closely with other nursery staff to achieve daily goals.
    • Communicating effectively to report any issues or concerns.
