Day-to-day of the role:- Support the learning and development of students with complex behaviours and needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers to deliver effective small group and one-to-one lessons.
- Help students build self-belief and become effective learners.
- Assist in delivering the GCSE English curriculum, ensuring students are well-prepared for their qualifications.
- Adapt to the unique needs of each child, providing tailored support to enhance their academic and personal growth.
- Engage actively with students to facilitate both their academic and personal development.
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a special school setting.
- In-depth knowledge of the GCSE English curriculum.
- Strong ability to work effectively with children who have experienced trauma.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to student support.
