Solicitor – Residential Property

Location: Lewes

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

The Residential Property team operates from both Lewes and London, advising clients nationwide. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly regarded team that works on high-value transactions, providing expert guidance on listed properties, country estates, and high value property across the UK. The team provides a full suite of residential property services, including equity release, re-mortgages, licences and variations, utility easements, development and site acquisition. Their matters range in value up to approximately £50m.

They are looking for an experienced Residential Property Solicitor to join their dynamic team in Lewes.

The Role

This role offers the chance to handle high-value transactions for a diverse client base, including individuals, landed estates, developers, and portfolio owners.

Key Duties:

  • Managing a diverse caseload including sales, purchases, re-mortgages and refinancing, transfers of equity, equity release, new leases, lease extensions and general property advice
  • Dealing promptly and efficiently with all conveyancing matters from quotation to completion - and beyond!
  • Providing legal advice to high net worth individuals on property related matters
  • Conducting due diligence and preparing legal documentation with meticulous attention to detail
  • Building strong relationships with clients, estate agents and other key professionals  to ensure smooth transactions
  • Staying up to date with relevant legislation and market trends affecting the sector
  • Mentoring and supporting colleagues and junior members of the team

Skills and Qualifications

  • A qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer with a minimum of 3 years PQE within residential property law
  • Adaptable, accurate with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Exceptional focus on client care, excellent communication skills and willingness to go above and beyond
  • Proactive, resilient and solutions-driven, able to work independently while collaborating effectively in team settings
