Payroll Coordinator - 8-week contract

£17ph - Leyland

We have a fantastic opportunity available in Leyland for a Payroll Coordinator/Assistant for an interim 8-week contract!

As a successful candidate you must have experience managing end-end payroll processes, including date input, verification and submission of the monthly payroll. You must also have strong Payroll Systems experience.

The role is based on site in Leyland but has free parking and is paying £17ph.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Produce accurate calculations and ensure the correct payment of employee salaries, benefits and deductions, so that all staff are paid on time.
  • Process new starters, leavers, salary changes accurately, including annual leave calculations
  • Process staff travel and subsistence expenses, ensuring timely administration and payments.
  • Correctly process Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay, Statutory Shared Parental Leave and additional occupational payments in compliance with staff terms and conditions of employment, keeping appropriate payroll records of all such absences.
  • Adhere at all times to the company's financial regulations, HMRC and payroll legislation, pension scheme rules and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements of the role:

  • Previous experience with Juniper Systems would be desirable.
  • Strong Payroll Systems experience.
  • Previous experience within a Payroll Assistant/Coordinator role.
  • Ability to work autonomously and with pace.
