We are seeking a dedicated Children Residential Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young Peopleās Workforce (CYPW) or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience working in the UK. This role is based in Preston and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children in residential care.
Day to day of the role:- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the childrenās emotional and social development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and participate in activities that are both fun and educational.
- Act as a positive role model, offering guidance and support to help children and young people overcome challenges.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of the childrenās progress and any incidents that occur.
- Ensure that all safeguarding policies are adhered to and any concerns are reported to the appropriate authorities.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings and training sessions to continuously develop professional skills.
- Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young Peopleās Workforce (CYPW) or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in the UK.
- Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by children in residential care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
