Are you an up-and-coming Sales Executive with a passion for closing sales? Do you have experience working within a telephony sales or customer service environment? Do you enjoy cultivating relationships with prospective customers? If so, this role could be for you.

Our client based in Lichfield is seeking a Trainee Sales Executive to join their existing sales team.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Calling sales leads in order to convert them to customers
  • Speaking with potential customers to understand their requirements
  • Proactively prospecting new business and maximising sales
  • Processing and scheduling of customer orders efficiently
  • Raising sales orders ensuring accuracy
  • Making and answering sales calls
  • Always delivering the very best in customer service
  • Liaising with warehouse in relation to stock
  • Responding to email enquiries
  • Building strong relationships with customers
  • Building strong internal relationships
  • Liaising with customers to update on delays/shortages/ delivery dates
  • Completing general administration duties

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a telephony sales or customer service role
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with an ability to meet deadline
  • An understanding of how to research and identify prospective customers
  • Ability to work co-operatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees,
  • management and external agencies
  • Ability to act and operate independently
