Import Administrator8:30-17:00Up to £27,000 per annumLichfield (hybrid working) 37.5 hours per week Holiday33 days including BHsKey duties:

  • Ensuring the accurate entry of data into the operational system
  • Check all shipment documentation
  • Meet and wherever possible exceed customer expectations
  • Use provided customs system to check pre-lodged entries, ensuring that all charges in accordance with each entry are logged and communicated efficiently and accurately to the relevant department for charging and payment
  • Liaising with our European Partners and Customers to find resolutions to any arising challenges
  • Provide quotations to Partners for out of tariff and special requirement consignments
  • Provide high standards of customer service in a friendly and positive manner
  • Accurate use of the customs system for consignments arriving on Transit documents, paying close attention to detail, and ensuring all processes are followed and completed
  • Daily maintenance of files ensuring all documentation is filed accurately
  • First point of customer escalation for Partners and their customers both internal and external, developing a strong and productive relationship
  • Correct handling of potential claims
  • Work within a fast-paced environment with a can do attitude and a willingness to learn, within a strong and supportive team and have a willingness to contribute to a positive working environment

Essential skills:

  • Educated to GCSE level
  • Knowledge / experience in a road or freight environment
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK
  • High level of accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure
