About the Role:
As an Internal Sales Representative, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the Commercial Team's efforts by acting as a primary contact for our valued customers. Your responsibilities will include:
Accountabilities
Act as a point of contact for customers to develop and maintain positive relationships
Respond to quotation requests from potential and existing customers
- Deal with customer queries by providing answers with technical confidence and product knowledge
- Respond to, or escalate, queries regarding sales processing, invoices and credit notes to ensure customer satisfaction
- Follow up live quotations and negotiate within limitations
- Process sales orders in a timely manner to ensure delivery to customers' requirements
Provide administrative assistance to the Sales team
- Resolve Purchase Ledger invoice queries
- Ensure the continuous process of general administrative duties
- Obtain proof of delivery notes from third party suppliers
- Support the activities of the External Sales Representatives by providing information or administrative assistance as required
Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of the market position for the company's products and services
- To continually develop an in depth knowledge of the group's products and services
- To evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the main competitors in the industry and recommend strategies to maintain the group's position relative to the competition
- Identifying opportunities for added value projects
Technical Competencies
Pricing Systems, Therfore, SAP and Customer Portal - Desirable but not essential CRM, Excel, Word and outlook - Required
What You'll Bring:
- Experience in the construction industry, preferably with ground workers, civils contractors, or frame contractors - A strong advantage
- A proactive approach and excellent communication skills.
- A knack for problem-solving and negotiation.
- Familiarity with pricing systems, CRM, SAP, Excel, Word, Outlook, and customer portals is a plus.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of up to 30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- A 5% annual bonus based on company performance, financial results, and team objectives.
- A full-time working pattern of 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm).
- Flexibility to work from home on Mondays and/or Fridays after your training period.
- A generous 34 days of paid leave, including bank holidays.
- Pension scheme with auto-enrollment at 4%, matched by the company up to 5%.
