The work itself will primarily store deliveries, delivering DIY and home improvement goods, to local depots and stores around the midlands and the north. All stock is in cages and pre-loaded for the drivers on arrival. The driver will be responsible for the cages being wheeled onto the tail lift and pushed the back door, with the help of the back door staff.
Average 3 to 5 drops per day, 10 hours minimum guaranteed, paid break.
An induction is required, which consists of and assessment with a driver trainer to include a theory test and reversing in the yard. Our client is looking for drivers for early AM and early afternoon Monday to Friday ongoing.
You will need to meet the following criteria before applying:-
- Must have held and be using a class one license in the UK for at least 12 months.
- No DD, CD, IN or MS Codes will be accepted
- Must have current CPC and Digi cards.
- Must come to work every day with safety boots, appropriate clothing and hi vis.
- Must be a team player with a good attitude, interacting with both store and colleagues and the public.
- Maximum 6 points on license.
