My Lichfield based client is recruiting for a Assistant Technical Support to join their existing Research & Development team. This position is officed based but will involve some off-site work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To assist in projects ensuring timelines and deliverables
  • Technical liaison between factories and customers
  • Design spec for project work
  • To assist in all research and development involved in any new projects
  • To provide written briefs
  • Make site visits to monitor projects as required
  • To assist with prototype and new product installation on a mix of vehicles.
  • To design spec sheets and instructions, including capturing images, recording technical information and specification to design customer installation and user guides
  • To provide both in-house and external technical training as required
  • To complete customer hand over with driver instructions
  • To provide technical support internally and to external customers, supporting the installation of products
  • To evaluate and improve customer support from inbound calls and customer feedback
  • To manage vehicle and product application guides including any amendments with new vehicle releases

Experience/Skills required

  • Excellent customer service
  • Some knowledge of the automotive industry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of MS office
  • Ability to act and operate independently.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work co-operatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external agencies
