We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Body Controls Engineer to lead the development and testing of body control modules across several carlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage commodities for one or several body electrical modules.
  • Develop and prepare body modules for production, ensuring timely component releases on the Bill of Materials (BoM).
  • Produce detailed timing plans for body modules.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop component-level requirements.
  • Conduct testing on Labcar and vehicles.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults in engineering and field environments.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience with body control modules for an OEM.
  • Deep understanding of body control functions and the V-cycle electrical development process.
  • Strong grasp of the vehicle development process.
  • Proficient in writing requirements using ALM tools.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive test plans.
  • Excellent supplier management skills.
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety (FuSa) and Cyber-security.
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities.
  • Competent in diagnosing vehicle faults and supporting the 8D process.
  • Familiarity with PPAP and other sign-off requirements.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and hold a valid driving license.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to resolve issues independently and organize/run meetings as needed.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of providing clear status reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Experienced with Vector CAN tools and well-versed in CAN and ISO14229 diagnostics.
