We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Band 5 Physiotherapist to join a dynamic healthcare team in one of the Trusts in the Midlands. The Trust plays a crucial role in delivering a wide range of health services to local communities, focusing on providing care closer to home, reducing hospital admissions, and supporting patients in their communities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide Physiotherapy assessments and interventions for people with learning disabilities and complex health needs, including 24-hour postural management, mobility, falls, community-based respiratory care, and rehabilitation from acute injuries and/or conditions.
  • Provide specialist equipment, including sleep systems, specialist standing frames, walking aids, and guidance for supportive seating.
  • Provide support for specialist moving and handling techniques.
  • Offer support to assistants and support workers within the team.

Skills:

  • BSc Hons in Physiotherapy or a postgraduate diploma in Physiotherapy.
  • HCPC registered Physiotherapist.
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities.
  • Experience as a qualified Physiotherapist.
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills, along with clear and logical presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical/risk assessment and understanding of Information Governance principles.
  • Experience completing mobility assessments.
  • Experience completing initial assessments and risk assessments.
