Commercial Manager
I am recruiting for a Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for a Consultancy on an Oil&Gas project in Humberside. This is a Contract role for at least 12 months outside ir35.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic project controls team in the Humberside region. The successful candidate will have pre contract experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing contracts including scoping, pricing, and schedule creation.
- Working closely with the procurement team on tendering, supplier selection, and contract awards.
- Providing accurate live forecasting and reporting, ensuring project financials are properly managed and monitored.
- Managing costs, assessing variances, and ensuring compliance with project budgets.
- Delivering robust project controls and reporting on project progress, including risk, opportunities, and financial audits.
- Engaging with site teams to ensure continuous commercial performance improvement and delivering project innovations.
Key Candidate Criteria:
- Strong commercial experience in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, and complex manufacturing sectors.
- Extensive pre- and post-contract experience in a commercial role.
- Minimum of 5+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally within a contracting or customer-focused commercial environment.
- Degree-qualified or equivalent industry experience
- Experience with SAP is desirable.

- 12 months contract outside ir35
- Hybrid work pattern 2/3 days on site
