Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating CNC machines to produce turbine products, following work instructions and meeting company standards
  • Ensuring safe machinery setup and loading material into machines
  • Understanding engineering drawings and utilising CMM readouts for various operations
  • Examining machinery production output to verify its acceptability
  • Performing gauging and CMM measurements of components to ensure conformity
  • Maintaining and updating records about the machine's operation
  • Regularly inspecting machines for mechanical and safety issues
  • Working a flexible schedule to meet production demand during busy periods

Essential Skills:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Completed a recognised full Level 3 apprenticeship, or an NVQ Level 3 or Technical certificate in a relevant engineering field
  • Experience in CNC machining
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • A proactive outlook towards work and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Pride in maintaining a clean work area and surroundings
