CNC Wood Machinist Operator (3 Axis Casadei Busellato)

GBR Recruitment are working in close partnership with a well-established & progressive Carpentry / Joinery business, recruiting for an experienced CNC Wood Machinist Operator to configure, set & operate their 3 Axis Casadei Busellato CNC machine, producing wood cut lists for client projects.

If you are an experienced CNC Wood Machinist looking to work within an extremely modern, clean environment for a company that offers a real variety of work & stability then this could be just the role for you, working on a day shift Monday to Friday (no shift work).

Duties:

  • You will be responsible for CNC operating & setting up of CNC machinery to fabricate parts.
  • Also, you will assist with other Wood preparation tasks & finishing.
  • You will operate power tools & woodworking machinery, including CNC, crosscut saw, wall & vertical panel saw, table saw / bench saw, mitre / chop saw, edge bander, planer, abrasive wheels, drills, laminator & more.
  • Assist in the Workshop with pre-install assembly works (mock builds, dismantling & packaging of components / parts).
  • Workshop housekeeping (cleaning of work areas, waste removal, storing raw materials etc.)
  • General Woodworking Workshop duties as requested.

Attributes:

  • You will be a time served CNC Operator / Wood Machinist who has 3 Axis CNC Machinery experience, preferably using a Casadei Busellato CNC Machine, however any other 3 Axis CNC machine experience will be considered & training given.
  • Experience of working on cutting lists for an array of woodworking projects, cutting wood to the desired thickness, width & lengths for Workshop assembly or onsite assembly.
  • Previous experience in operating & setting up machinery to fabricate parts according to technical specifications.
  • You will have an eye for detail & some form of inspection / QC experience.
  • Some previous Joinery / Carpentry experience (even basic) would be beneficial.

This job is commutable from: Newark, Sleaford, Lincoln, Gainsborough & Grantham.
