Are you interested in becoming a Trainee Teaching Assistant? Tradewind will be running a 'Teaching Assistant School' in North Lincolnshire and will be essential to anyone who would like to become a Trainee Teaching Assistant. As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will be given the tools to support pupils and class teachers by attending our Teaching Assistant School. This will also be useful for individuals who have had experience in working in a school setting, or previously volunteered within a school setting.

The Trainee Teaching Assistant role will include working with a variety of needs on a one-on-one or small group basis. You will need to be committed to making a difference and have the enthusiasm to raise pupil achievement. The role would suited to candidates who are enthusiastic of supporting students with SEN within a school setting or similar, such as care-work or support work setting. However, if you have experience within a school setting and a passion for supporting pupils with SEN this will also be suitable. A Teaching Assistant qualification is desired for this post however, not essential and the school may consider candidates with other qualifications depending upon experience within their field.

  • Have experience working with children (Essential)
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover ALL of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Have the academic ability and personality to inspire, engage and progress students from all backgrounds and of all ages
  • Some understanding of SEN and the desire to work with Special Needs pupils
