Vocation Recruitment Ltd is a trusted agency providing talent to the traffic management sector across the UK. We are currently seeking an experienced M5 Multi-phase Traffic Management Operative to support projects in and around Lincoln, Grantham, and the surrounding areas for immediate and ongoing work.
As a Traffic Management Operative, youll play a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow on highways and construction sites. The M5 Multi-phase Traffic Management Operative is essential to everything we do. You will be responsible for multiple setups of 2-way, multi-phase, and road closure sites each day, collecting completed sites, and maintaining temporary traffic lights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, maintain, and remove temporary traffic management, including cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other equipment
- Undertake traffic counts, communicate with clients and subcontractors, and monitor timings and near misses
- Maintain temporary traffic lights, including battery changes
- Help and guide new trainees on traffic management procedures and report back to the depot manager
- Ensuring compliance with Chapter 8 regulations for safe traffic flow
- Perform site inspections and ensure health and safety standards are met
What Were Looking For:
- M5 Qualification (essential)
- Immediately available
- Understanding of ARTSM's Guidance on the Use of Portable Traffic Signals
- Knowledge of Chapter 8 regulations
- Full driving licence with own transport and no more than 6 points & no current bans
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test (this is a mandatory requirement)
- All right to work and relevant ID
- Positive can-do attitude with adaptability and flexibility
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety
We offer competitive pay rates ranging from £13.50 to £15.50 per hour, depending on experience and how you would like to be paid. You can choose from a variety of payment options including PAYE, LTD, and Self-Employed allowing flexibility in how you are paid.
