My client is looking for an experienced embedded software engineer, adept at working to MISRA guidelines and ideally experienced with IoT devices. They are based in Lincolnshire but want to attract talent across the UK with flexible and expenses covered travel onsite, only when required (likely once every 3-4 weeks).
Role/Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop the codebase.
- Bug fixing and new feature development.
- Support and assist other engineers with the design, prototyping and release of products.
- Gather new product requirements and features.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the team.
- Working with products from concept to production.
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum 4 years experience in embedded software development with C/C++.
- Experienced with MISRA standards and guidelines.
- Experience with communication protocols ideally cellular.
- Software testing experience.
- Hardware/electronics experience.
- Strong knowledge of GNSS/positioning techniques.
- Strong experience with IoT devices.
Desirable:
- Experience with U-blox devices.
- Understanding of CI/CD practices and pipelines.
