The Role:

As a Corporate Lawyer, you will manage a broad range of corporate matters, providing expert advice on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, shareholder agreements, and other high-value transactions. You will work closely with business clients across a range of sectors, delivering commercially sound legal solutions and ensuring a smooth transaction process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a varied caseload of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, company restructures, joint ventures, and corporate governance.
  • Advising clients on business structures, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, shareholder agreements, and other corporate documentation.
  • Assisting clients with due diligence processes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Providing commercially focused advice on corporate transactions and assisting clients through each stage of the transaction.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring high standards of client care and service.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as commercial property, litigation, and employment, to deliver comprehensive legal advice.
The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in corporate law. You will have a strong commercial mindset, excellent client care skills, and the ability to manage complex transactions independently.

You will need:

  • At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in corporate law.
  • Strong technical knowledge of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and company restructures.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • A client-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • The ability to manage a varied caseload independently and efficiently.
  • A proactive and commercially aware approach, with a passion for delivering high-quality legal services.
  • Experience in business development and a commitment to growing the corporate practice would be an advantage.
