Capio Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded Top 200 law firm to recruit an experienced and compassionate Family Lawyer. With the flexibility to be based in any of their offices, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled family law professional to join a well-established and growing team. The role offers a chance to work on a broad range of family law matters while being part of a firm that prides itself on client care and delivering exceptional service.

The Role:

As a Family Lawyer, you will handle a varied caseload covering all aspects of family law, including divorce, financial settlements, cohabitation disputes, and matters involving children. You will provide expert advice and representation to clients, ensuring the highest standards of client care and professionalism throughout.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, separation, financial remedies, and private children law matters.
  • Advising on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, and complex financial settlements.
  • Representing clients in negotiations and mediations, as well as in court where necessary.
  • Drafting legal documents, such as consent orders, statements, and agreements.
  • Providing compassionate and practical advice to clients, often during emotionally challenging times.
  • Working closely with colleagues in other departments, such as private client and property, to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Keeping up to date with developments in family law and applying this knowledge to your cases.
The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in family law. You will be passionate about helping clients through challenging circumstances, combining technical legal expertise with empathy and strong communication skills.

You will need:

  • At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in family law.
  • Strong technical knowledge of family law, including divorce, financial settlements, and children matters.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver a high level of client care.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach, with strong organisational and time management skills.
