Cast UK are delighted to have partnered exclusively with a key customer of ours as they look to strengthen their operations leadership team. This fantastic opportunity is for the position of a Operations Director overseeing the daily operations and play a major role in the successful growth of the business. You will work Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Oversee daily operations, including supply chain management, production, inventory control, quality assurance, and logistics, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Collaborate with department heads to set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure the effective use of systems and technologies to support operational objectives and maximise efficiency.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with logistics partners and service providers to secure favorable terms and cost savings.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation and creativity within the operations team, while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and other regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and analyse financial data, including budgets and forecasts, to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in a high-level operational leadership position, preferably within the distribution sector or a related field.
  • Highly skilled in data analysis, with the capability to identify patterns, interpret complex information, and make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at engaging and influencing stakeholders across all organizational levels.
  • Deep knowledge of inventory management strategies and production planning techniques.
  • Superior organisational talents, capable of juggling multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Strong familiarity with industry regulations and standards pertaining to operations, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Proficient in negotiation, with a proven track record of cultivating and sustaining strong relationships with vendors
